A message from Ann Swindell…
I don’t know about you, but there have been countless days when I sat down to write, and the ideas I had in my head didn’t flow onto the page. Instead, they came out like leaden bricks: clunky, heavy, and impossible to maneuver.
Has this ever happened to you? The ideas you carry in your mind are vibrant, rich, and full of passion—but when you get in front of the computer screen or your journal, what comes out feels jumbled and confusing.
I get it. I know what it’s like to stare at the page and wish my writing could be stronger and more engaging. I spent most of my college years and the first few years of my graduate program in writing feeling like I was behind.
But the good news is that writing is a learned skill. We can grow in our ability to harness language for our purposes, craft words and paragraphs that flow together beautifully, and provide an environment that welcomes others to the table of our stories. Still, we can’t do it alone. First, we need the help of the Lord—his wisdom, his guidance, his strength. Secondly, we need the help of others who have gone ahead of us in the field to point us in the right direction and help us learn new skills as writers.
That’s why, here at the start of 2019, you have a fresh opportunity to invest in your calling as a writer by joining us in the new course that I’m teaching, Writing with Power and Grace. I enrolled in the course Writing with Power and Grace. How can I get the free writing planner? I don’t see any tab to download it? Please advise how to get this. Thanks.
